Hey there! I'm Mudit Aswal, a design enthusiast with a deep-rooted love for nature and a knack for problem-solving. Although I was born in Delhi, I'm native to the beautiful state of Uttarakhand, and I've always felt a strong connection to the wonders of the natural world.

From a young age, I discovered my passion for creation and innovation. In fact, during 9th grade, I designed and built a maglev train for a science competition, winning first prize in my school and sparking my enthusiasm for design even further.

While pursuing my studies, I found joy in playing tennis and exploring different avenues of creativity. However, it was during my high school years that architecture truly captured my attention. Growing up in Delhi, I had the opportunity to witness the magnificence of Lutyens Delhi and other architectural marvels, leaving me mesmerized by the power of design.

As I delved deeper into the world of architecture, I actively participated in various design competitions, consistently securing commendable ranks. The thrill of these challenges fueled my passion, driving me to explore different design disciplines, including architecture, fashion, product design, and UX.

Throughout my architectural journey, I embarked on numerous adventures, traveling extensively to broaden my horizons and draw inspiration from diverse cultures and landscapes. One particular experience that left a lasting impact was my 1.5-month stay in the Kinnaur and Spiti regions, where I volunteered in a Buddhist village, dedicating my efforts to mud architecture that aimed to enhance the tourism experience in the area. I also had the opportunity to design a system that optimized tourism flow and contributed to the sustainable growth of the region.

As fate would have it, I stumbled upon an exciting opportunity at Jamia Millia Islamia. The university was planning to open a Department of Design and Innovation, offering a cutting-edge curriculum as part of its M.Des. program. Although I had not initially planned to pursue a master's degree, the serendipity of the situation was undeniable. After thorough research and conversations with students from various colleges, I decided to apply. Luckily, I passed the entrance test and interview, solidifying my path in the field of design and innovation.

I had the incredible opportunity to intern at the UX Lab at IIT Delhi, where I worked on curriculum development, contributing to the creation of engaging and user-centric learning experiences. This experience allowed me to deepen my understanding of user experience design and the importance of designing for the target audience's needs.

For my M.Des. Thesis, I embarked on a fascinating journey focused on the topic of "Cognitive Development App for Preschoolers." Under the guidance of Dr. Jyoti Kumar from IIT Delhi, who served as my industrial mentor, and Dr. Tawseef Majeed from Jamia Millia Islamia, my college and primary mentor, I explored the intersection of design and cognitive development. I conducted in-depth research, developed innovative design strategies, and created prototypes aimed at enhancing cognitive growth in young children.
